Málaga Chirp

Inspired by the unmistakable chatter of monk parakeets heard in Southern Spain, Málaga Chirp captures a little piece of Mediterranean life and a memory from my travels.

Painted in acrylic with fine, realistic detail, the characterful monk parakeet takes centre stage, celebrating its beautiful green plumage. This piece was inspired by the parakeets I encountered while on holiday in Málaga - their lively calls becoming part of the soundtrack to warm, sunny days spent along the coast.
